Fabric Composition Detector (AI4DDC)

The AI4DDC project, under the DIH4AI initiative, focuses on enhancing power line inspections using long-range drone technology combined with AI-driven quality control systems. This innovative approach aims to address the challenges of current inspection methods, such as inefficiency and high costs. The project involves using AI to automatically discard irrelevant data captured by drones, improving data handling and reliability. This system also associates images with specific power line towers, ensuring comprehensive coverage and reducing the need for repeated inspections. The collaboration includes key stakeholders like FuVeX, RISE, and Robotics DIH Spain, aiming to revolutionize power line inspection processes, making them more cost-effective, efficient, and safe.
